Do you want to be a member of one of the elite football programs in Canada?
Are you willing to put the time into getting better for your high school season , a CIS program or just maybe you love playing at the highest level so much you need your summer and fall fix of rep ball if Bantam (Peewee) age?
The BURLINGTON STAMPEDERS is where you should be then!
The Burlington Stampeders run a summer program for athletes aged 13-19. We play in the Ontario Football Conference (OFC). The Summer Stamps will form a Bantam (old Peewee) team; a Varsity team and two Junior Varsity (JV) teams because of the demand and interest level at this age group.
The BMFA offers first rate equipment, facilities, trainers, coach busses to away games as required……. and of course our most important commodity……..THE BEST COACHING.
For years players have stayed with our program because of the amazing efforts and knowledge of our volunteer coaches who are the best the community offers. There are high school coaches, CFL players like Neil Lumsden and Mike Samples, CIS players giving back after years of playing as Stamps, CIS coaches, and community coaches like Dan Brannigan Sr., and Mike MacDonald who was the recipient of the Ontario Football Association’s top coach in 2007.
Registrations begin in January, and are generally advertised on this web site and the local papers in Burlington and Oakville. Our season starts in late March on turf fields and ends in mid August. Practices are 3 times a week with game day Sunday.
For those wanting to pursue a CIS career in football the Stampeder brand often brings out scouts from CIS schools, because the schools know they are getting athletes that are trained at the highest level. Over the last 2 years the Stampeders have graduated over 20 players to the CIS and their respective university teams. One need look no further than the 2009 Vanier Cup Champion Queens Golden Gaels and game MVP Dan Brannigan for the Stamp connection at the next level……or the 2009 Notre Dame Fighting Irish high school team and the 26 Stamp players that were a part of their Golden Horseshoe Bowl /Provincial Championship season.
